2026-03-23 Whistler Blackcomb snow report

Bulletproof icy but under a bluebird sky, the alpine snow stayed good for carving despite the firm crust. Visibility held up across the ridges, so it felt stable up top even though the hardpack demanded precise board control.

Most chairs weren’t busy, so loading was quick and the lifts stayed reliable. The alpine exposure felt secure, but the mid-mountain started to feel sketchy: the bottom of Emerald 6 and Big Red Express 6 were very bad, with too many unmannered riders dropping straight through the fall line without looking around. That kind of traffic made it hard to stay safe for us snowboarders, especially when the already icy tread left little room to adjust.
