2021-01-20 Grouse mountain snow report

It's an overcast day but still a visible day. There were some icy area but almost all runs got softer. Thanks to dry and cold air, the snow (or shaved ice) stayed soft and nice, so it was enjoyable to snowboard! The bottom of the Cut and Paper Trail definitely need more snow, but for now we can still enjoy other runs such as Upper Buckhorn and Skyline, or Expo.

Top of the Cut was great.

The Cut

The snow did not melt on the board.

The cloud was above the mountain, so we could see the city clearly.

Middle to the Bottom of the Cut

The bottom had even less snow unfortunately. Some small stones and grasses sometimes catch your board.

Expo was nice on the other hand. It was not icy. Due to the overcast reflected light it was a bit hard to read the terrain but not bad.

Today all the runs except for Coffin were open. I wonder if Coffin will open this year or stay closed entirely. We'll see...
