2021-01-26 Seymour mountain snow report

This is our 2nd Seymour mountain snow report!

Today’s Seymour mountain started fully overcast and later it got some sun shafts. Snow condition was amazing; you can enjoy both stable groomed area and pretty light deep pow at ungroomed area.

Closed Chairlifts: Brockton Chairlift (Closed on Monday and Tuesday)

It was an overcast day but having no fog helped reading the terrain.

Mystery Peak Chairlift stayed busy all the time after early morning.

Cabin Trail used to be an ungroomed run, but today it was fully groomed.

That very tall glacier mountain you can see is Mt. Baker. Yes you can clearly see all the way over there!

Manning (Green), Northlands (Blue), Gun Barrel (Blue), Lower Unicorn (Blue), Chuck's Place (Blue), and Rookies (Green) had great snow condition. Unicorn (Black) had some icy layer below forgiving powder layer, so the condition was mixed. Overall the snow conditions there were great.

The view was amazing during the sunny time

Northlands

This is the fork from Northlands to Unicorn (Black) on the left, and to Gun Barrel (Blue) on the right. Unicorn starts from steep slop right after the fork.

At the end of Unicorn (Black), toward Lower Unicorn (Blue), there's an intersection that snowshoers walk across the run. You'll have to run uphill here, so you most likely have to unstrap your binding to skate, or go fast carefully. It's tricky.
